Terry talking to the rest of us:
So, I thought I'd give my two cents. What destroys civil discourse? How can we
moderate ourselves like adults and respect each other?
Terry in response to Sammie:
"If you understood half the time what you criticize you'd be more qualified to make an
informed contribution to the conversations you provoke."
Thank you for being an example Terry.

America to be destroyed?
by StopTheTears inthe destruction of the babylon of the future takes place in one hour and the kings of the earth wail over her demise.. .
this indicates the worlds leaders are not expecting america's judgment and destruction.
this destruction comes suddenly and without warning.. .

Stop the tears: "Are you a witness?"
If he were do you think he would deny that Babylon the Great is the "world empire of false religion"?

StopTheTears; why do you keep using Watchtower images?

Like you Terry, who in your first response to me, called me silly and fatous. Hypocrite.

You need a messiah
by StopTheTears inyou might well ask that question, do we need a messiah?
yes, it would be logical to wonder whether a messiah would have any real effect on you.. .
some whose opinion you may respect would assure you that the answer is clear and unequivocal: you definitely do need a messiah, just as much as everyone else does.. .

StopTheTears; do you have to use those corny Watchtower illustrations? Don't you realize that it offends many people on this forum?
Do you also have to promote that ridiculous concept of Jesus being nailed to a simple pole? Crux Simplex is not what he died on.

Mary:
"I actually cried at the end of "The Inner Light" the first time I saw it. This one, along with Yesterday's Enterprise, and of course, The City on the Edge of Forever, were the absolute best."
Me too. On all counts. His finding the flute at the end is what did it to me.
Berengaria:
"The original had a certain charm that can not be duplicated (although the latest movie was darn good, paying homage to the original). But TNG is the best. They really shouldn't be compared, it's like an awesome Beta version, and the finished product."
You're right, they shouldn't be compared. Like apples and oranges. I was raised on the first one. As a child, before I saw my first episode, I used to read the TV guide. I would see Star Trek listed and thought it was about Hollywood stars. Only after seeing Spock's name repeatedly mentioned did I realize there was something else to it.
I don't remember what my first episode was, but I do remember how elated I felt upon watching it. It was much better than Lost in Space.

Moshe; as for what Lars and OBVES have in common, I would say the same mental state. That may be the cause for similar writing styles and people with similar mental states tend to have the same overall traits. I doubt they're the same person.
As for writing around midnight that is probably due to their being in similar time zones and having the insomnia induced nocturnal habits that some types of personalities have. I don't think there's any significance to their posting at different times. If they both consistently posted at the same time, that would be odd.

Sab: "Terra your post lacks congruity and relevance."
It is a bit subtle. Something you have to ponder for a while and even then you might not get it until a year later while taking a shower. However, Terry's post was mostly off topic and since he was including me in his barb I decided to answer him once, and just once, on this thread.
- Vampire -> can't see himself in the mirror (Yet they flinch when presented with one).
- Seeing one's self in the mirror = introspection
- Introspection = the ability to recognize the fact that you're accusing others of what you're guilty.
- Vampires have no introspection...
- ...yet they cringe when confronted with what they are.

Terry: "They get into Ad Hominem jags and cry unfair treatment."
Like someone I know who, in his first response to a poster, said that he/she was "silly" and "fatous".
Introspection. Who needs it?
